My study abroad group did the overnight cruise and had an amazing time! The crew is friendly and skillful, the food was delicious, and the activities were one adventure after another. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Absolutely impressed by our experience on The Rock. I was excited to simply experience an overnight with a nice sunset and a bar onboard. It was that and so much more - several concessions worth of NZ fun activities in one trip. We caught fresh snapper with the respectable fishing kit onboard, snorkeled and saw crayfish burrowed in rock, and best of all, paddled through magical bioluminescence under the stars in the middle of the night. The accommodation is hostel style, with a few private rooms, very clean and the crew is fantastic. Hearty meals. Wood stove onboard. A++ experience, high recommendation.

I’ve been on The Rock twice now - and both times were awesome! The team make it a really fun and effortless experience, the food is great and we packed so much in that even though we were only away for 1 night / 2 days it felt so much longer in the best way! Paddle boarding, snorkelling, island walks, night fishing, pool table, marshmallow roasting, day kayaking, eating kina fresh out of the sea - there’s literally something for anyone. Highly recommend the night kayak to see phosphorescence- it’s magical!

We did the overnight cruise and had a fantastic and fun time with stunning views of the Bay of Islands. There's so many great experience included from fishing, shooting, snorkeling, swimming, jumping off the boat, kayaking and paddleboarding and even a beautiful walk up the top of a beautiful deserted island. The Crew were wonderful, friendly and knowledgable. We had Captain Erin, who cruised the boat with perfection and skill, and Jona who was super outgoing and was the main man for all our activities. I was never into fishing but Jona showed me how to handle a rod and I ended up learning I had a secret talent for fishing and caught 4 fish. We booked the private cabin which is more expensive but definitely worth it for more privacy and space. The Food was yummy and the drinks reasonably priced. All in All a Fabulous time with a professional company and great crew. Highly recommended!

We had a superb weekend with the amazing team on the Rock back in March this year. While the amazing weather played it's part, the crew were outstanding and made the whole experience a memory we'll never forget. We hired the boat out for two nights and got to sample a selection of beautiful spots across the Bay of Islands. We were a group of several families with kids ranging from primary to late secondary school ages, and the crew were very good with them all, helping them to get the most out of all the activities, including snorkelling, kayaking, fishing off the back and hikes on the island. The food and drinks were great, and we all loved the rustic charm of the boat. Thanks again, we're looking forward to coming back!
