Had an amazing day doing the day cruise on Mar 8, 2026. We got lucky with beautiful sunny warm “fall” weather. We had a small group that day with 3 crew and 4 other passengers besides me and my partner, so it made it easy to talk to everyone and felt like we had lots of space throughout the day to move about the boat. The crew were all super fun and friendly. We enjoyed snorkeling, paddle boarding, and walking on Robertson Island. We even got so lucky as to be greeted by dolphins (twice!). Once was in the bay off Robertson Island where they were visiting a bunch of boats, including ours and they came up super close; we got some amazing photos and videos. The second was on the boat ride back to Paihia where they came up alongside the boat and did some jumps for us before getting distracted by a school of fish. Truly an incredible day. Food (lunch) was pretty good too!
The boat is quite old and dated, but it works and didn’t take away from the day at all because what was special about the day was the people and the nature the boat allowed us to see.

Lovely chilled and adventure filled trip! The perfect balance of activities with moments just to enjoy the joy of being on the sea! Staff were friendly and welcoming and made you feel at home right away.
Highlights would be the fishing, night kayaking and being able to watch the sunrise before everyone else was awake with a cuppa - so peaceful!

There were just 3 of us and 3 crew members this Easter weekend. Great vibes none the less and an amazing crew, Erin, Bella and Marley! Saw bioluminescence during the night kayak, snorkeled and finally saw dolphins as well. Food was great as well.

What an incredible experience at the Rock Adventure Boat!
From start to finish, the entire team went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, but what truly set this experience apart was the people. Every member of the team was genuinely warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do.
They made everyone feel comfortable, included, and well looked after from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble!

My study abroad group did the overnight cruise and had an amazing time! The crew is friendly and skillful, the food was delicious, and the activities were one adventure after another. I can’t recommend this experience enough.
