Dropped in here this morning and all I can say is 'wow!' genuine NZ Country hospitality and local baking greeted me. Office Cafe has everything, friendly Staff, wow baking, I had the Plum Pie with whipped cream & a tumeric latte absolutely fab! The Office Cafe has many interesting area's from outside to the various rooms adjoining the main Cafe area. The Cafe is actually located at the cross-roads of Maungapere you can't miss it! And between you and I even a Governor General has dropped in there! Go there, highly recommended, with lovely Staff & Owner's to greet you upon arrival, a real local Kiwi find 👍👍

A lovely lunch at The Office Cafe.
The plum pie was yummy 😋 and the hot lamb sandwich 🥪 was divine; moist, tender meat, with the perfect amount of mint sauce..so good.
Cafe was busy but we got attended to timely.
Highly recommend their food and the staff are lovely. Can't wait to come back.

This is a nice little cafe on a busy intersection very close to Whangarei. Looks like it is run by a family of very friendly and helpful people. While being there we met some local people, who go there on a regular basis. We just stopped there for a coffee and for a small piece of cake, and everything was presented to us with a touch of style 😊

Wouldn't recommend in winter, we're only on the fringes now & the room was like an igloo. Obviously heat isn't turned on until someone occupies the room (which is understandable) but not customer friendly.
Food was average, coffee great, redeeming feature was the friendly, attentive staff.
Don't mind the trip from town, but doesn't work without good food & with the dip in temp, adequate heating.
