Went past this cafe/bakery several times while in town, it was always busy so gave it a try. Had a pie (steak, bacon and cheese) which was 8.5/10 and delicious. The War Office had eggs bene with bacon and spinach, very tasty and fantastic value at $20. Coffees were good-not-great, same with the slices, all the pricing was very reasonable and the service perfectly fine. Recommend for pies in particular.
So dont believe the hamburger pictures! Ordered the chicken burger small amount of lettuce 1 slice tomato. The chicken was sliced up to go futher and not lots. Chips nice and crisp. Husband had the fish and chips and this wax a good meal size. Fish wasn't processed and was not bad.
Definitely my choice for a bakery in Dargaville. The other bakery in tiwn is good, this bakery is the best. Very busy on Saturday morning! Great selection of sandwiches, pies, sweets, hot & cold drinks and hot food. Reasonable prices and great sevice with a smile. I recommend the seafood pie (another first for me) and the flat white coffee.
I dont usually stop in at a bakehouse because there always shit. But this is hands down the best one i have been to. Great selection, food was fresh, smoothies were delicious. Staff were great and they sell chicken skin, that was delicious. Already planning to stop in again when we head up north.
Excellent Rump Steak, great service with lovely smiles!! Thanks guys!! 😊 Also had the lovely company of three local women whom sat and chatted with us.
