Such a cool place and tasty food. Busy but plenty of space and fast service. Well organised. Chicken bagel was delicious as well as salmon one. Carrot cake is juicy but a bit too sweet to our liking. Coffee is great. They are also licensed and you can order wine and beers. For 4 people we spent just under $100, with 4 drinks, 2 desserts, 3 bagels and one ham croissant.

Had tomato and basil soup today - delish. Also had a beautiful iced hazelnut coffee - soooo yummy! Well done. Partner had the fish n chips - we missed the beautiful homemade tartare sauce - and he had the chocolate cake. Blimmin big piece of cake.
Great service and friendly staff. This is our number one local cafe. Well done to the team.

What an incredible little coffee/tea, brunch or lunch stop in Kawakawa. Love the quirky railway themed decor and location in the old Kawakawa Railway Station. The food is delicious, wholesome & flavoursome. Incredible menu options with a twist (like the kahawai fish cake egg bene served with watercress and lime hollandaise) plus an incredible cabinet selection with freshly baked goods and homemade pies. Good strong coffee and a lovely range of NZ made teas like Kawakawa & lemon, or orange & horopito & spiced orange. The staff are friendly & deliver fast service. It has become our number one stop on our road trips north! Plus its dog friendly on the outdoor tables on the station platform as well. Bonus

First visit in six years and we left very impressed. Hidden on the menu is the option of a vegan burger, with seeded GF bun bun and animal-free aioli. The staff were super-friendly, unlocking the service 'above and beyond' level. And most importantly: the burger tasted great! All the stars.

Sitting on the platform where the train leaves and having breakfast is special.
The little cafe was busy and it is a spot where peole meet, chat and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
The eggs benedict I had was a bit salty. The eggs where cooked nicely.
I also had an orange cake which was soaked in sugar syrup and overly sweet.
