We stopped here while waiting for our laundry and because it looked like a cute cafe, and it ended up being the best decision we made on our trip✨ The coffee and spirulina drink were really tasty, and the seafood chowder with fried bread is a must. However, the best thing about this family owned cafe is the people working here. They were super helpfull and nice to us, just amazing people! 💘
Would definitely recommed stopping here for breakfast, lunch or just a coffe.

Just been to this amazing coffee and it was the best decision we could have ever taken!!!!
They have a really delicious coffee, i had a flat white that was super good, and a suuuuper incredible creamy seafood chowder!! So far the best food we had eaten in our trip 😋
Everybody was super nice and welcoming to us. We got to talk to the owner and her sisters/cousins and they were all so so nice!
We can only say ¡muchísimas gracias! and 100% recommend it!

One of our regular stops when up this way for work
The scrambled eggs are really good and the sausage on the big breakfast is nice too
Good price compared to what you pay back at Paihia

Went there for cycling. Looked around for a lunch place and thought this restaurant looks decent. Ends up surprising awesome. Love the French toast!

Came to Malaahi for the first time in a while, I usually just got coffee when I have come there and the food had always been good the few times I had ordered food but the other day when I was passing through I paid $18 for the most mediocre smoked chicken salad that was such a small portion. Nothing was cooked by the cafe, was just spinach, the smoked chicken and noodles were straight from a packet, and could tell the salad dressing was just a cheap store bought one. Could have just grabbed this from the supermarket and whacked it together in two minutes for half the price. Was really disappointed and felt very ripped off. Do better please Malaahi whānau.
